Sex Up Your Swimwear

Just because you’re losing layers doesn’t mean you have to lose your sense of style. This summer it’s all about upping the glam-factor, with swimwear that’s almost too gorgeous to get wet. Designers have gone all out with bold, bright prints, jungle motifs, and statement shapes and finishes.

So whether you’re spending your day poolside, beachside or - if you’re Kate Moss - on deck, you’ll be guaranteed to look great with these swimwear trends:

Maths Whiz
Asymmetry is back - and you don’t need a maths degree to put it into practice. All it takes is one strap on your swimmers and this fashion-forward look is yours! Versatile enough to work with a full-piece or a bikini, and able to suit all figures, this style is as much about looking fabulous as it is practical.

Animalia
Go wild with super-hot safari-inspired themes. Lions and tigers and birds – oh my! - all feature in this season’s swimwear line-up, as does multi-coloured leopard print, shimmering snakeskin and anything else that evokes a sense of jungle fever.

Finishing Touch
Ruffles, frills and flounces are everywhere this season and are perfect for achieving instant girly glamour. Alternatively, opt for tribal-themed finishing (think funky fringing, soft suede and intricate beading) for a more edgy look.

Neon Alert
Vibrant, saturated pigments have made their way from the runways to the beaches near you. Think neon pinks, rich magentas, fresh yellows and brilliant blues – the brighter the better! Go for block colours or bold patterns to work this trend.

Naughty but Nice
If a bikini’s too basic and a full-piece too plain, then the new season cut-out is perfect for you. Cut to enhance the feminine figure, this cheeky style lets you show off your curves while still leaving something to the imagination.

Celebrity Style
Make like a celeb and bring the bling to the beach with a standout necklace, some chunky bangles, or a pair of over-sized earrings. If you’re after something more low-key, a colourful sarong or sheer kaftan will also spice up your swimwear without looking too OTT.

lovely costumes but my goodness you have to have the figure to wear them. I agree with Kerrie I am 53 and around 20kg overweight.

Great - if you are a size tiny weeny and under 30.....I am 50 and 15 kg overweight - but guess what, I am still a girl with a (much) younger husband who thinks I am gorgeous - show ME some swimwear that I can wear and look as good as I can.......dont forget us more mature ladies......we too have money to spend, egos to nurture and husbands/partners to tantalise......
