Around the globe there was a lot of movement on the S/S 2010 Fashion Week runways – and we’re not referring to the kind that happens in the queue to get in. Hemlines seemed to become shorter and more revealing as necklines climbed higher in a nod to modesty. The ‘inverted V’ cut was favoured at Fendi, Lanvin and Elie Saab, amongst others; Sass & Bide and Prada opted for near-chin-hugging necklines; and Karl Lagerfeld’s high-collared monochromatic shirts and cravats were so emulate of his personal dress sense we wouldn’t be surprised to catch him wearing one of his catwalk creations out and about!
I absolutely love all of these beautiful & feminine dresses but it’s easy to design a stunning dress for a stick insect. Give these designers size 14 women to work with and then we will see who really has talent.
These garments are lovely only for the young and slim however what happened to women who have a mature figure and big boobs, there should be something in the way of fashion for all ages and sizes.
